15. Jasmine Marsters - NZ STRONGMAN Competitor

1. Brief outline of who you are, your background, occupation, where you are located etc.

My name is Jasmine Marsters. I am half Cook Island half Tongan. Born and raised in South Auckland, New Zealand and am BLESSED with six beautiful kid's.

2. What is your chosen sport/occupation/passion/interest/hobby? What attracted you to this? Why do you love doing it? What are the pros and cons of what you do?

I compete in STRONGMAN and now thanks to my eldest daughter, I have recently started to learn how to play Rugby alongside her.

Needing to be strong not only physically but also mentally is what attracted me to do this.
I love doing it because all I wanted growing up with my brother's was to just be as strong as them, and this was a way for me to prove it.

3. What is your biggest achievement to date? What would be your ultimate goal/dream/destination/achievement?

Pro's for me would be that you get to meet alot of amazing people, all supporting one another as they put in the work to get the job done.
Con's for me is that it takes a toll on the body, so listen to it and look after it.
Personally my biggest achievement to date would have to be my overhead strength gains. From not being able to get a 20kg bar over my head to now being able to overhead press 75kg is a big achievement for me.
My ultimate goal/dream/destination would be to hit the numbers that I set for myself when I started my Strongman journey and one day maybe if I am able to, is to compete in a overseas competition.

4. How does X-ZONE help?

It was by chance that i got to see Jess at this year's, Day 2 of the Strongman Series Easter Show Competition. She was kind enough to let me try out the X-ZONE sports rub. Which honestly helped me out. The instant relief I felt was unbelievable, ever since then I've been hooked and it's now apart of my training and recovery routine.
