X-Zone Rubs: Proven Results from Independent Lab Tests

Trinity Bioactives Limited conducted tests for X-Zone in August 2024.

Trinity Bioactives is a contract research laboratory that conducts independent scientific tests.  They carry out independent scientific tests to identify and support the development and marketing of products with health benefits that are derived from natural sources.

The results were impressive showing our products are powerful against pain-causing cells.

They tested X-Zone products against human macrophages, which are cells that are active when there is pain and inflammation in the body.

Here are the results:

X-Zone Relief Rub - Reduced macrophage concentration by 42.7%. Therefore, proven to decrease pain-associated cells. 

X-Zone Joints Rub - Reduced macrophage concentration by 48.1%.  Helping to reduce joint pain by targeting and decreasing inflammatory cells.  

X-Zone Sports Rub - Came out as the most effective, reducing macrophage 
concentration by 54.1%.

All our products contain powerful New Zealand botanicals, and Trinity Bioactives Ltd tested Puriri and Tupakihi against the activity of COX2, a known pain pathway. 

Puriri Tincture- Was shown to reduce COX2 activity by 14.2%, thereby aiding in the reduction of pain and inflammation. 

Pūriri is traditionally used topically for sprains, backache.

Tupakihi Infused Oil - Was shown to reduce COX2 activity by 28.4%. A similar effect to Indomethacin (a NSAID anti-inflammatory drug) which tested at 30%. 

Tūpākihi (Coriaria arborea) is a Māori rongoā that was traditionally used to knit together broken bones, hairline fractures and relieve deep bone and muscular pain - arthritis, muscle, tendon and nerve pain, sprains and strains, bruising, tenseness, varicose veins, gout and rheumatism.
