14. Mollie Allison - NZ Beach Volleyball Rep

1. Brief outline of who you are, your background, occupation, where you are located etc.

I'm Mollie Allison and I am currently studying my Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology. I am based in Hamilton and in my spare time I coach volleyball and beach volleyball to all ages from 5 to adults.

2. What is your chosen sport/occupation/passion/interest/hobby? What attracted you to this? Why do you love doing it? What are the pros and cons of what you do?

I currently represent New Zealand in beach volleyball as a part of the NZA squad, as well as playing competitive indoor during the winter. I love spending all my time on the courts, training hard myself but also giving back and teaching all I know to those around me.

A big pro for me about playing beach volleyball is being able to train outdoors and at beaches but a big con would be not having many people to train with in my area, as well as everything being largely self-funded.

3. What is your biggest achievement to date? What would be your ultimate goal/dream/destination/achievement?

My biggest achievements to date would be representing NZ in America and Australia and consistently making top 5 in the New Zealand Beach tour at a young age.

My ultimate goal is to be a part of New Zealand's top partnership and represent all over the world.

4. How does X-ZONE help?

X-ZONE will help me with my performance and to achieve my goals by managing muscle soreness, warming up effectively, recovering better and staying consistent through high intensity training.
