7. Sophie Colquhoun - BMX Champ
Brief outline on who you are, your background, (occupation), where you live etc.
I’m 14 years old, I live in Silverdale, Auckland with my mum, dad, Poppa, younger sister, dog, and two cats.
What is your chosen sport/occupation/passion/interest/hobby? What attracted you to this? Why do you love doing it?
I race BMX and I also love mountain biking. I love these two because I like to go fast and I love jumping.
What are the pros and cons of what you do? What would you consider your biggest achievement(s) to date? What would be your ultimate goal/dream/ destination/achievement?
The pros are racing my friends and travelling and racing around the world and the cons are crashing! And it can sometimes be frustrating trying to dial in a new skill. My biggest achievements so far have been winning BMX Nationals this year, competing at the World Champs in the USA, and learning how to ride the 8m ramp. My future goals are to attend next year's BMX World Champs in Copenhagen and to be an Elite rider one day.
How does X-ZONE help you to achieve your goals?
X-Zone helps me with sore muscles after a big race meet.
